About the Committee
Register of National Internet Domain of Serbia – RNIDS and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, based on global practice, regulated the resolution of disputes over rights relating to the registration of .rs and .срб domains through the process of resolving these disputes before the Committee for the Resolution of Disputes Relating to the Registration of National Internet Domains.

Registration of Internet domain names of the second level may lead to disputes, mostly with the holders of intellectual property rights. These disputes may be brought before national courts, or, more often, resolved out of court (through alternative dispute resolution methods).
The Committee for the Resolution of Disputes Relating to the Registration of National Internet Domain Names is an independent body relative to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and is completely independent in its decision-making.
The procedure for resolving disputes regarding the registration of national Internet domain names is not an arbitration procedure and is not subject to the provisions of the Law on Arbitration. It is a special ADR procedure governed by the Rulebook on the Procedure for Resolving Disputes Relating to the Registration of National Internet Domain Names.
As a rule, decisions are made by an individual expert, whereas a dispute may be resolved by a Panel of Experts consisting of the President of the Panel and two members, if explicitly requested by the complainant or registrant in accordance with the Rulebook on the Procedure for Resolving Disputes Relating to the Registration of National Internet Domain Names (“Official Gazette of the RS”, number 30/26). The Committee has its own List of Experts determined by the Managing Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia upon the proposal of the Register of National Internet Domain of Serbia (RNIDS). Experts are determined from the List of Experts in accordance with the rules of procedure stipulated by the Rulebook.
This is a fast, modern and efficient procedure, adapted to the modern digital business environment and the need for efficient resolution of disputes in the digital environment. Communication with the parties takes place entirely electronically, which ensures a simpler, more accessible and time-efficient procedure, without unnecessary administrative burdens. The lawsuit, response to the lawsuit, files, evidence, notices and decisions are delivered electronically, which ensures a faster exchange of information, greater accessibility of the proceeding and more efficient resolution of disputes, including the possibility of holding an oral hearing via video communication.
